I grew up in St. Charles, Missouri and put my faith and trust in the Lord Jesus when I was 16 years old. I attended college at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri and while there, felt the Lord’s calling to serve in ministry. After graduation, I moved to Lawton, Oklahoma to serve as the Assistant Minister of Students and Recreation at First Baptist Church. While serving at First Baptist in Lawton, I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated from there in 1999. That same year, I sensed God’s call to move to North Little Rock, Arkansas to serve as the Minister to Students at Park Hill Baptist Church. I served there until 2007 which is when I felt God’s call on my life to come and serve here at First Baptist Church in Oxford, Mississippi. I met my wonderful wife, Nicole, while serving as Student Minister in Arkansas. She was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas and had attended Park Hill Baptist all her life. We were married there at Park Hill Baptist in July of 2002 and have loved serving together in ministry ever since. We have been blessed with 2 precious boys, Harris Andrew (‘05) and Joshua Aaron (’06). Sadly to say, Harris passed away after he was only 10 days old but we thank the Lord for allowing us to be able to hold him that long and we will always cherish his memory. As the Education Pastor here at First Baptist Church, my responsibilities include giving leadership to our entire Sunday School Ministry, Evangelism, Discipleship, Pastoral Care, etc. Nicole and I are very thankful to be a part of such a wonderful church family as First Baptist Church. Hobbies & Interests: I love the outdoors, spending time with my family, playing every kind of sport there is, traveling, playing games, music, playing the guitar and the drums, and attending sporting events. I enjoy playing tennis, golf, biking and taking walks with my family. Musical Interests: I love all styles of music but what I listen to most are Christian Contemporary and Praise & Worship. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, Matt Redman, Matthew West, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, etc. Some of my favorite songs include Untitled Hymn/Come to Jesus (Chris Rice), Homesick (Mercy Me), The Time of My Life (Mark Shultz), and You Never Let Go (Matt Redman), Lifesong and Praise you in this Storm (Casting Crowns).
